It ain’t bad being Lil Jon right now. He and the East Side Boyz earned a double-platinum album (Kings Of Crunk), his songs are on the radio from duck ‘til dawn, and artists are continuously asking for hooks and beats. And lest we forget the on-point Dave Chappelle skit! His record label, TVT, rented him and his crew a Mediterranean-style villa (studion included) in Miami Beach’s tony Sunset Island One neighborhood for the next three months so he could record his forthcoming album without leaving the comforts of home. ‘Yep, we should be able to get a lot more work done,” Jon says with a straight face.
“If they only knew!”
