Jordan Brand takes it back to the essence
The sneaker that officially started it all way back in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 will make it’s return on Sept. 20. After 7 years of dropping the Air Jordan 1 as a cut in half mid top, Jordan Brand is finally taking it back to the High Top style that made the Air Jordan 1 an icon, and for the first time ever since 1985, Jordan Brand is re-releasing a retro of the original Black/White Air Jordan 1.The Black/White Air Jordan Retro 1 is dropping alongside the Air Jordan XX2 as part of the Air Jordan 1/22 Countdown Package. Retail is $310.

These 1s are ok, personally I like the blk/white, but the DMP 1s were better.

I like some of the AFJs, and actually bought a pair back in the spring. I do agree that both designs are classics and better on their own, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say they ruin the essence. Then again, I’m not a hardcore sneaker head. I just get what looks good on me…LOL
